About this coffee;

Tatu Estate is one of Kenya’s most prestigious coffee farms, located around 25km outside of the country’s capital, Nairobi. Here, they make the most of excellent coffee growing conditions with deep red volcanic soil on the undulating plains and two clearly defined rainy seasons.

The coffee is pulped, fermented and soaked before being laid out to dry in the sun on raised beds. They re-circulate the water used to ensure economical water consumption and they have a number of dams around the farm to contain surface water run-off for later use.

The varieties of coffee grown at Tatu Estate are some of the finest available in Kenya. They are mostly varieties that have been cultivated to be hardy to drought or disease but still produce great cup quality and high yield.

Expect to enjoy a beautiful full-bodied and jammy coffee which is unlike your usual washed Kenyan; it has a vibrant acidity which is crisp, well rounded and balanced.
